As in the past, the Assistant High Commission of India, Sylhet is pleased to announce the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarships for the academic session 2020-21. The scholarships are awarded to meritorious Bangladeshi nationals to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D level, except in Medicine.

2. Candidates are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured minimum 60 percent marks or GPA 3 out of GPA 5 and GPA 2.50 out of GPA 4 in the qualifying examinations. ICCR has developed a portal exclusively for the benefit of the aspiring students who may log on URL and create individual login ID and password before submitting the applications online. Applicants are requested to apply online individually after reading the instructions. While applying online, candidates may note the following:

  1. The candidate/s who are applying for BE/B.Tech. courses should have studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in their school leaving examinations;
  2. Applicants should have completed 18 years of age at the time of admission in Indian Universities and should not be more than 30 years of age;
  3. All students will have to stay in the hostels. No exception for family/health reasons to stay outside will be entertained;
  4. Applicants are advised to apply only one time. In case of more than one application by an individual candidate the same shall be summarily rejected;
  5. Students applying for M.Phil/Doctoral/Post-Doctoral courses should submit synopsis along with the application; 
  6. Students applying for performing Arts should upload latest video, audio, YouTube link of their performance while applying;
  7. Candidates must upload their color photograph (front face without spectacles) with white background.

3. The last date of submission of online application forms on the portal ( 1700 hours on December 19, 2019 (Thursday). The date and venue of English Proficiency Test (EPT) which will be of 30 minutes duration, would be intimated in due course.
